Webinar "Impact of Recognition Statement on Integration in the Labour Market. The case of Sweden"

Webinar "Impact of Recognition Statement on Integration in the Labour Market. The case of Sweden" held on 21 September 2021 at 10:00-11:30 CEST in virtual modality

The Lisbon Recognition Convention states that one of the possible outcomes of recognition is the facilitation of access to the labour market. However, very few studies have been made in this regard.

The Swedish ENIC-NARIC office initiated a longer study on the impact of recognition statements on integration in the labour market in 2020. The study also investigates to what extent the applicants move on to various kinds of complementary studies.

The first analysis will be completed early Autumn 2021 and includes all applicants who received an assessment between 2013 and 2017. It will analyse statistics of labour market outcome, including qualification matching. The analysis will merge data concerning age, sex and regional background with level and orientation of the study program.

This session will share the preliminary results from the first analysis with the ENIC-NARIC members. The idea is to also invite participants to exchange ideas and reflect upon the added value of such studies. In other words, how do we know if our work makes a difference?
