Webinar "DigiRec? Connecting digital student data and credential evaluation"

  • 29/10/2020 to 29/10/2020
  • Virtual

DigiRec? Connecting digital student data and credential evaluation held on 29 October 2020 at 10:00-11:30 CET

This session is dedicated to discussing the outcomes of the DigiRec White Paper with the participants of EN2020.

DigiRec is an Eramus+ NARIC project that produced a White Paper for the ENIC-NARIC networks on the connection between digital student data and the recognition of foreign qualifications. The White Paper offers the first ever analysis of this relationship and in doing so intends to support the networks and its centres to develop policy in this area.

The session format is to alternate between shortly presenting the findings and next discuss these with the participants.

The session addresses the following topics (and more!):

  • What are the main developments in digital student data and what is the current state of digitization in the ENIC-NARIC networks?
  • Data maturity, databases and digital statements: how are digital student data transformative to the credential evaluation process and vice versa?
  • How to prepare for the ongoing digitization; what are the challenges and opportunities?

Learning outcomes

At the end of the session, participants:

  • Are informed about the main outcomes of the White Paper and discussed these with their peers for inspiration
  • Gained deeper understanding how digital student data solutions and digitization of the credential evaluation process support fair and smooth recognition in line with the LRC
  • Can use the outcomes to further develop policy towards digitization
